Simon is a child from Tanzania. He is the first born in a family of two children. Simon’s parents are farmers, and they keep a few animals. They live together with their extended family in a homestead.
Simon has clubfoot of both feet. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. This causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes.
Fortunately, Simon traveled to visit our medical partner's care center, AIC Cure International Hospital. There, surgeons will perform clubfoot repair surgery on February 22. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $890 to fund Simon's clubfoot repair. After treatment, he will be able to walk easily and without pain.
Simon’s father says, “I cannot wait to see my son walking properly so that he will be able to go to school.”
