Duy is a 65-year-old vegetable farmer from Cambodia. He is married and has two sons, two daughters, and eight grandchildren. Duy likes to watch the news and Khmer boxing on TV.
One year ago, Duy developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him photophobia, tearing, blurry vision, and itchiness. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Duy learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, he traveled for three and half hours by taxi with his wife seeking treatment. On November 11th, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and place an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $229 procedure.
Duy shared, "I hope I can see my children have happiness, because that is my happiness. Thank you for your support."
