This is Mwanaisha, a nine-year-old girl from Kenya! She is the fourth-born out of a family of seven children. Her parents are farmers who lease land during planting season in order to support their large family.
When Mwanaisha was born, she received a colostomy to enable her to pass stool. After a while, her colostomy became exposed. If this continues, Mwanaisha will be more susceptible to infections. Mwanaisha needs surgery if she wishes to pass stool again in the future.
Mwanaisha's mother says, "For the last nine years, my daughter has never been well, but now I have hope that things will change." For $1,500, we can fund Mwanaisha's surgery so she can be able to pass stool normally again in the future!
