Tusingwire is a 10-year-old boy from Uganda. He is the oldest of three children.
When Tusingwire was an infant, his mother noticed a small swelling on his scrotum, which was later diagnosed as a hernia. This swelling grew over time and Tusingwire began experiencing severe pain, night fevers and appetite loss. The discomfort is now so extreme that he often skips school.
Seeking treatment through our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, Tusingwire is now scheduled to receive hernia repair surgery on June 21. He is requesting $249 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care.
Tusingwire's mother is thankful that her son will get the treatment he needs to be healthy and continue his education.
