Mugabirwe is a farmer from Uganda. He is a widower and a father to one child. His wife died 25 years ago, his child is still a student and the family is sustained by the little that the Mugabirwe’s farm produces. 7 years ago, Mugabirwe has had an inguinal hernia. This hernia causes him pain and discomfort Fortunately, on September 3rd, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner's care center. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $219 to fund Mugabirwe's surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. Mugabirwe says “I hope to have a better quality of life and continue hustling for a better future of my child.”

Sar is a four-year-old girl from Thailand. She lives with her parents and three sisters. After being pecked in the eye by a hen, Sar has lost her vision in her right eye completely. Doctors want Sar to undergo a CT scan, a procedure in which x-ray images taken from several angles are combined to produce cross-sectional images of the body. This scan will hopefully help doctors diagnose her condition and formulate an appropriate treatment plan. Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $414 to cover the cost of Sar's CT scan and care, scheduled for July 10. Sar’s father says, “I am very stressed and upset about my daughter's condition. I want her to get treated as soon as possible."
