Touch is a student from Cambodia. He likes playing soccer with his friends and spends most of his time reading his textbooks. Five months ago, Touch was in a motor bike accident that caused a fracture in his right femur. He can't walk without crutches and is in chronic pain. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On November 27, Touch will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $430. This procedure can align the bone and help him walk easily again. His mother says, "I hope my son can get his leg fixed and walk like before the accident."

Anod is a primary student from Malawi. Anod lives with his parents and little sister, and he likes going to school and playing cars with his friends. Since August, Anod has had an inguinal hernia. This hernia causes Anod a lot of pain, and he is often too uncomfortable to go to school and to play with his friends. Fortunately, on November 2, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner's care center. Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $334 to fund Anod's surgery. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and six nights of hospital stay. Anod's mother, Loda, was thrilled that her son will get the surgery he needs, especially since it was too expensive for the family to afford. She says, "Thank you. Now my little boy will be well!"

Enock is a child from Tanzania. He loves playing with his friends. Enock’s father keeps livestock, and his mother is a stay-at-home mother. Enock was diagnosed with bilateral genu valgus. His legs are bent inwards, causing his knees to touch. This condition is typically caused by an excessive accumulation of fluoride in the bones, which often stems from contaminated drinking water. As a result, Enock cannot walk well. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $940 to fund corrective surgery for Enock. The procedure is scheduled to take place on December 22. Treatment will hopefully restore Enock's mobility, allow him to participate in a variety of activities, and greatly decrease his risk of future complications. Enock says, “Thank you for helping me get this treatment, God bless you all.”

Sopheaktra is a medical student from Cambodia. He is studying medicine and spends all his time reading. In late November 2015, he was in a motorbike crash and broke his tibia. He went to a clinic, and doctors used a nail and internal hardware to fuse the bone. Now the hardware is ill-fitting, and it's painful for him to walk or stand up for a long period. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On December 18, Sopheaktra will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. Surgery will help him walk easily again. He says, "I want to continue my studies and my work."
