Uth is a food vendor from Cambodia. She has one son and two grandchildren. She enjoys reading about Buddha in her free time.
One year ago, Uth developed a cataract in her left eye, causing her photophobia, irritation, and tearing. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Uth learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, she traveled for one and a half hours seeking treatment. On June 7, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in her left eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
She says, "I look forward to going to the pagoda, participating in ceremonies, and going anywhere by myself."
