Tin (BB), a 14-month-old girl from Burma, was born with a large teratoma, a tumor, protruding from her groin area. The teratoma is about half her body size. Tin (BB) already had one surgery for her teratoma. However, for her last follow up, the doctor did an ultrasound and found an abnormal mass in her big intestine. At first, the doctor said the tumor was big and too dangerous to operate. However, the doctor injected the tumor, reducing its size. On October 5, Tin (BB) will undergo surgery to remove the tumor. Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, requests $1,500 to help fund the treatment. Tin (BB)'s mother says, "I am worried for my daughter and I hope that the surgery will be successful and she will grow up well like other children."

Twenty-year-old Malaiy is in the tenth grade at his local high school in Cambodia. Malaiy is a big fan of soccer, and during breaks at school he plays soccer with his friends. “Malaiy has been dealing with ear infections since his birth," our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), tells us. He has a perforation in his eardrum which has caused him to lose hearing, and has frequent discharge from his ears. CSC says, "It is difficult for him to communicate with people because they must talk loudly and they often have to repeat themselves." For only $225, we can fund surgery to repair the perforation in Malaiy's eardrum, stopping discharge and hopefully improving his hearing. Let's come together and help him out!

Eunice is a 33-year-old woman from Kenya. She's a widow, mother to a three-year-old baby boy, and is expecting again! "Eunice is the sole breadwinner to her only child and aged mother-in-law," Lwala tells us. "This forces her to wake up early everyday in the morning to weed other people's farms and their farm too, but recently she has not been able to work hard because of the pregnancy discomfort. Hence the family at times goes without food." Eunice is seeking medical care to help safely deliver her baby and provide her the prenatal care and postnatal care she'll need during this time. "I hope my baby is born alive and healthy in a free germs zone with the help of a skilled person, and that if he is a boy, I will name him after his late father 'Peter' but if a girl 'Steff," says Eunice. With $290, we'll be able to give Eunice the care she needs to welcome her newborn safely and ensure that she can provide for her family.

Meet Koem Sok, a 63-year-old mother and grandmother from Cambodia! She has ten children, many grandchildren, and her favorite activity is reading about Buddhism with monks in the pagoda. A few weeks ago, Koem Sok sustained a femoral fracture when she fell down in her home. The fractured bone is part of her hip and she has not been able to walk since the accident. Koem Sok has never seen a doctor before and has only used traditional medicine. A friend urged her to come to Watsi's partner hospital, Children's Surgical Centre, where she can receive a hip replacement and physiotherapy to restore her mobility. Koem Sok really wants to be able to walk again, and spend active time with her large and loving family.
