Meet Dinkmekar, a two-year-old girl and only child to her parents. Dinkmekar was born without an anal opening and cannot pass stool normally. As a result, she experiences pain and difficulty since she must pass stool through the vagina. Dinkmekar will continue to experience pain if this condition is left untreated. They have been helped by a charity organization to come into Ethiopia and get to the hospital so that they can access medical help. Hamza's father is optimistic. He says, "I hope that my son can get the treatment that he needs and after he has recovered we can have a fresh start as a family." We can be optimistic too! Say hello to G. Hiwot, a four-year-old from Ethiopia! G. Hiwot was born without much of a bladder, but instead a huge wound in its place.
