Meet Brandy! Brandy is a two-year-old girl living in Guatemala with her family. Our medical partner there, Wuqu’ Kawoq, writes, “she has suffered from frequent intestinal infections which have led to progressive weight loss.” Because of this, Brandy is very malnourished. WK continues, “She has little appetite, and her language and motor development is very delayed. She needs immediate intervention to get her back on track and protect her long term cognitive potential.” Brandy's mom is quite worried about her because "she is not healthy, and she is not growing." She is hopeful that, with our help, she can start to see positive changes in Brandy's appetite and growth. With just $535, WK will be able to provide formula and medication to treat Brandy's malnutrition, which will resume her growth, end her intestinal infections, and improve her language and motor development.
