Lev is a rice farmer from Cambodia. She has four sons, five daughters, and twelve grandchildren. She likes listening to monks pray on the radio. About six months ago, Lev developed a cataract in each eye, causing her blurred vision and eye irritation. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside. When Lev learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, she traveled for four hours seeking treatment. On March 7, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in each eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $398 procedure. She says, "I hope I can see better and I can recognize my relatives again."

Somaly is a 27-year-old woman from Cambodia. She works at a bank. She has two brothers and four sisters. In her free time, she enjoys tailoring clothes. One year ago, she was in a motorcycle accident and injured her foot. Ever since the accident, she has had difficulty walking and is in chronic pain. In October of last year, she had a procedure done to fix her leg and foot trauma. Now, she is still having difficulty moving and needs another procedure to improve her mobility. Somaly is scheduled to undergo surgery on March 7. Now, she needs help raising $497 to fund the procedure. After her surgery, she looks forward to going home and spending time with her friends and siblings. She says, "After the surgery, I hope I can walk easily and return to work soon."

Soklin is a potato farmer from Cambodia. She has two children. She enjoys watching television programs. Soklin has strabismus in both eyes. Strabismus is a misalignment of the eye caused by injury or dysfunction in the associated nerves and muscles. It causes her discomfort, and she has difficulty seeing clearly. Soklin traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On March 6, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), will perform a corrective procedure to align her eyes. Now, Soklin needs help to raise $292 to fund this procedure. She says, "I hope my eyes will look and feel better after the surgery."

Htoo is a ten-year-old boy from Burma. He lives in a village with his parents and his three siblings. Htoo attends school and is in the third grade. In November of 2016, Htoo received treatment for abnormal swelling in his lymph nodes. At this time, he underwent a [CT scan](https://watsi.org/profile/32ad5bbaafb4-htoo) funded by Watsi. The scan was used to investigate swelling in his lymph nodes, an organ that is part of the lymphatic system and is essential to a properly-functioning immune system. Physicians diagnosed him with lymphadenopathy, a disease of the lymph nodes. They have scheduled surgery to remove the mass identified in the CT scan on January 30. Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $1,500 to fund Htoo's surgery. After his surgery, the mass will be sent to a laboratory for biopsy testing to determine if it is benign or cancerous. Htoo's mother says, "I am excited. I'm happy my son is getting surgery now because I would have never been able to afford it myself, and I wouldn't know where else to look for the right treatment. I hope he will be more healthy after surgery. I love him so much. I have decided to support him in whatever he wants to be in the future."
