“Orn said she is most looking forward to planting bananas and other fruit around her home and picking mangoes with her daughter,” our partners at the Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC) tell us. Meet Orn, a 68-year-old mother from Cambodia. She supports her family working on a rice farm and as a clothing tailor. Orn has a cataract on her right eye, her vision is blurry and she needs surgery to have it restored fully. “Orn hopes that her eyesight can be fully restored so she can return to work,” our partner CSC tells us. For $150, Orn's eyesight will be restored and she will be able to get back to supporting her family and enjoy a better quality of life.
