Emil is a playful a ten-year-old boy who lives with his family of fifteen in Nepal. Recently, Emil began complaining that he could not move his right hand. Emil's grandfather, his primary caretaker, noticed that Emil's collarbone was swollen and asked if Emil had fallen. That's when Emil shared that he had been playing on a raised plateau of land when he fell on his neck, fracturing his right clavicle.
Since his fall, Emil has not been able to feed himself without pain, do his school work, or play cricket with his friends--all of his favorite activities! Emil's grandfather shares, "I find Emil to be the sharpest of all my six grandchildren. So, I want his bone to be fixed as soon as possible. So that he can go back to school."
For $205, Emil will have his arm immobilized in a sling. This will give his bones time to heal properly so that soon enough he can resume his homework and, to Emil's delight, playing cricket with his classmates.
