Elirehema is a 31-year-old man who lives in Tanzania. He was the second of five children born to his widowed mother, and he works as a laborer to help support the family.
Elirehema says, “if I was not in constant pain and could use both of my legs, I’d work hard and open a mini supermarket”. Unfortunately, Elirehema has a condition called chronic osteomyelitits, which leaves him with stiff, swollen, and painful knees.
He needs a surgery, which will reduce local infection and inflammation in his legs, and grant him easy mobility. The cost of this treatment is too high for Elirehema and his family to bear. Together, we can help Elirehema gain access to this treatment so that he can work without pain and provide for his family.
