Nathanaelle is the lone girl in her family of all boys, but no less energetic. Nathanaelle was born with a congenital heart defect, which affects how blood flows through her heart and lungs, eventually causing blood low in oxygen to circulate to the rest of her body. She often develops shortness of breath when doing normal activities and since birth, has frequently had fevers and illnesses. Christine is a 25-year-old wife and mother from Kenya. She has uterine fibroids, benign tumors that cause her abdominal pain, swelling, prolonged bleeding, and general body weakness. Christine's husband works as a pastor. He earns just enough to take care of the family, but Christine's new medical situation presents a challenge. "We are struggling.
