Siling is an eight-month-old baby girl from Cambodia. An only child, she likes spending time at home with her mother.
Siling was born with a left clubfoot, meaning the foot is rotated inwards at the ankle. Her parents brought her to a hospital in their province, and doctors applied a cast as treatment. However, Siling’s symptoms did not improve.
Siling’s parents worry that it will be difficult for their little girl to walk when she grows up. She could also experience joint pain down the line.
Siling’s mother traveled for four hours with her daughter to our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre. There, she was told about a surgical procedure that can correct Siling’s foot. But the family cannot afford the operation.
By raising $353, we can ensure that Siling receives the treatment she needs. This will cover her surgery, set to take place on July 7, as well as her lab tests, two-day hospital stay, and two sessions of physical therapy.
Because of your donation, Siling will one day be able to walk normally. Let’s make sure that happy future comes to be for this couple and their only daughter.
