“We cannot afford the cost of the treatment. We should take loans or sell our land if possible; otherwise she will have to be disabled,” shares Rejina’s father. Say hello to Rejina, a cheerful four-year-old girl from Nepal! Rejina enjoys playing with her friends but after a recent accident, this is not as easy for her.
Rejina was playing with her friends in the courtyard of her home when she fell, fracturing her arm. She can no longer move her arm due to pain, limiting her activity.
Rejina is the youngest in a family of six. “The family is primarily involved in agriculture but because they own a small piece of land, the produce is only enough for about three months in a year,” describes our medical partner, Possible. “The rest of their income is generated by her father as he travels to India to work as a wage laborer.”
With $205, we can help fund Rejina’s fracture repair and support her on her journey back to health. “With treatment, Rejina will be able to move her arm again. She will not cry any more as she will be relieved from the pain,” explains Possible. Let’s get Rejina back to playing with her friends!
