Chanthy is an 18-year-old ice cream seller who has three older sisters and three older brothers. She likes to talk with friends, do housework, and watch TV.
Chanthy developed a cholesteatoma, or a skin growth, in her left ear when she was 16 years old. Since then, it caused her ear discharge and hearing loss. She visited our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), in November, where doctors gave her ear drops to reduce inflammation and kill bacteria.

“I hope that I can go to work as normal after I heal,” says Chanthy.
