Roeun is a farmer from Cambodia. He is retired from the Cambodian Army and likes to look after his cows at home.
In July, Roeun fell into a ditch on his farm, causing a fracture in his ankle. It is difficult for him to walk, and the pain is causing him a lot of discomfort. It is also difficult to work around the house.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On October 2, Roeun will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $430. Surgery can improve mobility and decrease pain.
His wife says, “I really hope my husband can get better.”

Roeun underwent fracture repair surgery.
Roen’s surgery went well and he’s since returned home. Since his operation, Roeun is in less pain and is healing quickly. Roen will be able to return to work in a couple of weeks.
