Sarim is a 66-year-old retired teacher from Cambodia. He is married and has three sons, three daughters, and seven grandchildren. In his free time, Sarim likes to read books and listen to monks pray on the radio.
About five years ago, Sarim developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurred vision and sensitivity to light. His condition has also made it difficult for him to recognize faces, do any type of work, and go anywhere on his own. Hearing about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), from his son, Sarim decided to seek treatment.
On August 3, Sarim will undergo cataract surgery at CSC’s care center, Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre. CSC is asking for $211 to cover the cost of his treatment.
After surgery, Sarim will be able to see clearly again!
