On is a 65-year-old loving grandmother. She has one son, three daughters, and 14 grandchildren. On lives with her husband, who works as a charcoal maker. In her free time, On likes to listen to the monks pray on the radio.
One year ago, On developed a cataract in her right eye, causing her blurry vision, itchiness, tearing, and sensitivity to light. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When On learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for three hours hoping for treatment. On November 8th, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in her right eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $229 procedure.
On shared, “I hope after surgery I can see well again so I can recognize things well and be able to help my husband make wood charcoal.”
