Srey Mean is a factory worker from Cambodia. She has three sisters and enjoys watching TV.
One month ago, Srey Mean had an ear infection. This infection caused the tympanic membrane, or the ear drum, in her left ear to perforate. For this reason, Srey Mean experiences pain and discharge. Lately, Srey Mean is finding it difficult to work, due to discomfort in her ear. She’s already missed some days of work and just wants to get better.
Srey Mean traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On September 1, she will undergo a myringoplasty procedure in her left ear. During this procedure, surgeons will close the perforation. Our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, is requesting $423 to fund this procedure. This covers medications, supplies, and inpatient care.
“I hope my daughter gets surgery and her ear is healed,” says her mother.
