Keth is a 38-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. Her husband is also a rice farmer, and they have two sons: a twelve-year-old boy in 6th grade and a five-year-old boy who is not in school just yet. Keth's free time is spent keeping her house clean, cooking for her family, and helping her children with homework. Eight months ago, a mass appeared on the right side of Keth's neck. It did not bother her until it became very itchy. Keth could not afford to visit a hospital and saw a Khmer healer for assistance. The mass has continued to grow and has become infected, causing her to experience irritation, feel sick, and have difficulty farming or caring for her family. Keth traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On July 14th, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), will remove the mass. Now, Keth needs help to raise $273 to fund this procedure. Keth contributed $80 to her care. Keth said: "I hope the doctors can remove this mass, and it will not be infected anymore."

Sokhem, a 21-year-old garment factory worker, lives in Kampong Speu with her family. Her parents are rice farmers, and she dedicates long hours at a nearby clothing factory to support them. When she's not working, Sokhem cherishes spending time with her four siblings and friends from work. She was born with a condition that caused frequent dislocation of her left knee. Over the past three months, her pain has intensified, rendering her unable to carry out everyday tasks. When Sokhem learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, she embarked on a two-hour journey in search of treatment. On June 7th, CSC's surgeons will conduct a patella alignment procedure to enhance her leg function and alleviate the pain. This intervention aims to stabilize her left knee, restoring her left leg's range of mobility without discomfort. Sokhem requires assistance in funding the $600 procedure. She shared, "I hope I can have surgery so I won't be in pain anymore and I can go to work and improve my walking."

Priscillah, who is 61 years old, is a mother of six and a grandmother of three living in the arid region of Baringo County, Kenya. Despite being a retired ECD teacher, Priscillah does not have a pension because she was employed on contract. She and her husband work as millet and mango farmers in order to earn an income. A month ago, Priscillah visited the doctor, complaining about a neck mass that she first noticed 20 years ago. Recently, Priscillah began to experience troubling symptoms, such as fatigue, weight loss, and breathlessness. Her neighbor convinced her to be evaluated and after lab tests and an ultrasound were done, Priscillah was diagnosed with a multinodular goiter. As it was toxic, she was immediately placed on medications to prepare her for surgery. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Priscillah receive treatment. She is scheduled to undergo a thyroidectomy on May 4th at AIC Kapsowar Hospital. Surgeons will remove all or part of her thyroid gland, which should ensure that she will be able to live a healthy and more comfortable life. Priscillah and her family need your help to raise $936 to cover the cost of this procedure. Priscillah happily said: "I never knew I would ever undergo surgery; I was ready to live with the condition until my death. Thank you for giving me this chance."
