Khuoch is an 8-year-old girl from Cambodia. She has one younger brother and her father works in construction. Khuoch enjoys reading books, being outside, playing with her brother, and watching TV. In the future, Khuoch wants to be an English teacher.
Khuoch had an accident and damaged her left middle finger. She did not immediately seek treatment and it became worse overtime. She presented to Watsi’s Medical Partner CSC with an ulnar deviation and is in pain. Surgeons will perform an osteotomy on her left middle finger to repair the injury and allow her to regain pain-free use of her hand.
Khuoch told us, “I hope my surgery goes well so I can feel good again.”

Khuoch underwent hand surgery.
Khuoch was not able to go to school after her accident and her parents were very worried about her. She is hopeful now that she has had her surgery, her hand will return to full function, and she will be able to do well in school and write better.
“I am glad that my finger and hand has healed. I am able to carry things, eat, write, and play with my brother and my friends.”
