Anyone would agree that Zablon’s smile could light up a room. Even with a fractured femur, he is a spirited four-year-old boy.
When Zablon was a toddler, his parents noticed he was having problems with his right leg. He eventually stopped walking, just as he was learning to take his first steps. When doctors at CURE International finally evaluated him, they found that he’d sustained a femur fracture that never healed.
Because children’s bones grow so rapidly, Zablon needs immediate surgery to repair and fuse his femur so it can develop properly along with his other leg.
For $1,000 we can fund Zablon’s procedure and give him a chance at the active, playful lifestyle every kid deserves.

Zablon received surgery to repair and fuse his femur.
The surgery went well and there is no more difference in Zablon’s legs. Without the pain from his neglected femur fracture, Zablon will finally be able to walk. He will be able to go to school and play with friends without the burden of a disability.
“We’re really looking forward to a quick recovery and being home so that Zablon can go back to school,” said Edna, Zablon’s mother.
