Sokhon is a 60-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. She has three sons, two daughters, and enjoys listening to the monks pray on the radio in her free time.
Six months ago, Sokhon developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurry vision. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Sokhon learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for three and a half hours seeking treatment. On October 04, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
Sokhon said, “I hope that I will be able to return to the pagoda and recognize my relatives’s faces”
