Eng is a 70-year-old woman from Cambodia. She is married and has one son. Eng enjoys volunteering at her local pagoda and listening to monks pray.
About two years ago, Eng developed a cataract in her left eye, causing her blurred vision, tearing, and sensitivity to light. She decide to seek treatment after hearing about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), from a neighbor who previously had surgery there.
On June 5, Eng will undergo cataract surgery at Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, CSC’s care center. CSC is asking for $153 to cover the cost of Eng’s surgery, which will entail implanting an intraocular lens in her left eye.
After treatment, Eng will be able to see clearly again!
