Ashish is a three-year-old boy from Nepal. He lives in a small town with his parents. His father works as a carpenter, and his mother works in the field. Four days ago, Ashish fell off his porch and injured his arm. Since then, he has been in tremendous pain and has experienced swelling in his hand.
Ashish’s parents tried to treat him with herbal medicines at home. After seeing the difficulty he experienced moving his hand, they took him to the hospital to be examined. Physicians have diagnosed Ashish with a fractured elbow. He is scheduled to have the fracture repaired on February 1. Our medical partner, Possible, is requesting $195 to cover Ashish’s hospital visit, casting, and physiotherapy.
The casting should help the fracture heal properly and return function to Ashish’s hand.
