Mohan is a three-year-old boy who lives with his parents in Nepal. He is their first child and is pampered by everyone in the family. His father works in India to support the family back home while his mother is responsible for grazing the cattle for their living.
Mohan was playing with his friends when he slipped and fell on a rock, fracturing his left hand. It has been five days since his injury. The family tried some home remedies like using bamboo sticks to treat the fracture, but when they noticed how he still had difficulty moving his hand they sought medical help. They walked for four straight hours to reach the hospital from their home.
Mohan has been in much pain since the injury he has had to take medication to control it. He has difficulty moving the injured hand and there is some swelling too. He will have to do physiotherapy exercise to regain mobility.
$541 will cover the cost of the treatment and physiotherapy Mohan needs.
Mohan’s father says, “I am so happy that Mohan gets treatment soon.”
