Sphat is an electrician from Cambodia. He is married and has two daughters. He likes to watch TV and spend time with his family.
In March 2018, he was burned on his scalp while working on a rooftop electric job. His open scalp wound is very painful.
When Sphat learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for four hours seeking treatment. On April 27, surgeons at CSC will perform a debridement procedure to to removed damaged and infected tissue from the wound. Now, Sphat needs help to fund this $262 procedure.
He says, “After surgery I hope I have a healthy scalp and can complete my work again.”

Sphat underwent burn repair surgery.
Sphat is recovering well from surgery. He is doing light physiotherapy as his wound continues to heal. Sphat will continue his exercises at home, and looks forward to getting back to his family and village.
He says, “I am happy with my surgery. I am feeling better and can walk again.”
