Chamroeurn is a 24-year-old monk from Cambodia. He has one brother and two sisters, and he is the second child in his family. Chamroeurn’s older sister is married, while his other two siblings are in high school. His parents are both farmers.
In Chamroeurn’s free time, he likes to read books, do Google searches for his religious study, listen to the news, and meet friends to discuss religion.
In November 2020, Chamroeurn had a bad fall that caused him to fracture his right forearm. After the accident, he went to a clinic for treatment, and they referred him to Watsi’s Medical Partner Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). At CSC, he arrived with pain on his right forearm and an inability to move his arm and hand. Surgeons recommend he have an open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) surgery, during which they will place plate screws on his arm.
On January 13th, Chamroeurn will undergo a fracture repair procedure at our medical partner’s care center, which will cost $465. This procedure will help him to be able use his right hand normally again. Now, Chamroeurn needs help raising money.
Chamroeurn shared, “I hope that after surgery my right forearm will be fixed, my pain will disappear, and I can heal soon.”
