Zaina is a happy nine-year-old girl and the youngest in a family of five children. Zaina has been unable to lead a normal childhood because of a condition that causes fluid to accumulate in the brain. Because of her condition, her head has become too heavy for her body to support.
Zaina’s mother had to quit her job as a secretary to take care of her daughter. Zaina’s father works as a waiter in small local hotel. Supporting a family of five children, his salary cannot cover the cost of Zaina’s treatment. Zaina’s parents say they pray that someday soon their daughter will be able to sit, stand, and even walk independently.
