Shyam is an adventurous 15-year-old boy who lives with his family on a small farm in Nepal. Shyam loves to play with friends and enjoys studying science in school. His dream is to become an engineer one day.
Several days ago, Shyam fell while climbing a tree. The fall broke his right arm in several places. Shyam now needs immediate surgery to reset the bones in order to ensure proper healing. Without surgery, Shyam could have a lifelong deformity that will hinder his studies.
Shyam’s parents are farmers and his father often has to travel to India for work to supplement their income. His parents simply can’t afford the surgery Shyam needs to make sure his arm heals properly. With your support, we can give Shyam the chance to go back to being a fun-loving kid, who doesn’t have to worry about his arm keeping him from reaching his goal of becoming an engineer.
