Fahimah is a tailor from Cambodia. She has one daughter and five grandkids. She likes to listen to the radio, pray, and spend time with the grandchildren.
Two years ago, Fahimah developed a cataract in her left eye, causing her blurry vision, headache, and photophobia. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Fahimah learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for four hours seeking treatment. On December 3, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification surgery and an intraocular lens implant in her left eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
She says, “I hope I can see better after surgery and I look forward to going to the temple on my own.”
