36-year-old Vireak is the father of two sons and a daughter. He works in a sugar factory to make a living in Cambodia.
Late last April, Vireak fell off his motor and broke his lower leg. He went to the hospital in his home province, but he couldn’t afford treatment. Without the needed treatment, his fracture healed improperly. He is unable to walk without crutches, and can’t work a full day. Vireak needs an operation to lengthen and align his lower leg bone, as well as physiotherapy to get him walking and working again.
With the help of our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, Vireak is scheduled to undergo surgery on September 26. Watsi is asking for $390 to cover the costs. Your donation will help pay for the surgeon, surgical assistants, nurses, an anesthesiologist, surgical and medical supplies, medication, lab work, physiotherapy, and five nights of hospital stay.
