Oi is a rice farmer from Cambodia. He has four children and enjoys fishing in his spare time.
In December 2010, Oi was in a motorbike crash near his home, in which he broke both of his femurs). He went to an emergency hospital and had surgery, in which the doctors fixed a nail to his left femur in order to heal the fracture. The nail in his femur is too long, and it’s causing chronic discomfort and difficulty walking.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On December 8, Oi will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. Surgery will help him walk easily again and eliminate the pain.
His son says, “I hope my dad can walk better like before.”
