Josephine is a friendly woman from a small village in Kenya who loves to smile! She has seven children and one grandchild, Richard, who she cares for on a daily basis.
Unfortunately, Josephine has cataracts that are making her blind. Without any formal education or language skills (she only speaks a local dialect and requires someone to translate for her when she comes to the city) Josephine needs her vision to function independently.
Just $375 will pay for Josephine’s cataract surgery so she can continue caring for her grandson. Watsi’s Medical Partner writes, “We expect that the extraction of Josephine’s cataract from her eyes will completely restore her sight.”
