Phalla is a hardworking 38-year-old factory worker. She is married and has two sons and one daughter. Her husband works as a farmer.
In June 2021, Phalla had an accident at work and burned three fingers on her right hand. After the accident, she visited a public hospital where her wound was dressed, but she also tested positive for COVID-19 and had to stay isolated in the hospital for two weeks. During that time, her wound became infected and the bone was exposed. She experiences pain and discharge from the wound.
When Phalla learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), she traveled for two hours seeking treatment. On October 20th, surgeons at CSC will perform a debridement procedure to remove the damaged and infected tissue from the wound. Now, Phalla needs help to fund this $273 procedure.
Phalla shared, “I hope my finger will heal soon so my hand can be normal again.”
