Sokhorn is a 65-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. He has nine children and six grandchildren, and enjoys growing vegetables and cooking for his grandkids.
In 1980, Sokhorn suffered a gun shot wound to his thigh that now has caused the bone to become infected. He experiences pain and difficulty moving his leg.
When Sokhorn learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On February 18, surgeons at CSC will perform a debridement procedure. This surgery will remove the damaged and infected tissue surrounding the bone. Now, Sokhorn needs help to fund this $262 procedure.
He says, “After surgery, I hope that I am no longer in any pain, can walk well, bend my knee, and can continue working.”
