Yary is a government worker from Cambodia. She has one daughter and one son. She enjoys cooking, watching TV, and relaxing at home in her free time.
In June 2017, Yary was in a motor vehicle accident that caused a fracture in her humerus. It is difficult for her to use her arm and she is in chronic pain.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On April 26, Yary will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $430. This procedure will help her walk easily again.
She says, “After surgery I hope I can use my left humerus normally again and without pain.”

Yary underwent fracture repair surgery.
Yary’s surgery went well and she’s been working with the physiotherapy team to improve the mobility and function in her arm. Surgery will allow Yary to greatly improve her quality of life and allow her to work without pain.
She says, “I am very happy with the results of the surgery. I am feeling and moving better.”
