Nheb is a widow with one daughter, five sons, and many grandchildren. Nheb now lives with her daughter, who works as a food seller. In her free time, she likes to listen to the monks pray on the radio.
Four years ago, Nheb developed a cataract in her right eye, causing her blurry vision, itchiness, and tearing. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Nheb learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for three and a half hours seeking treatment. On October 20th, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in her right eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $229 procedure.
Nheb shared, “I hope my eye can see well again after surgery. I want to see my grandchildren’s faces and walk by myself.”
