Hun is a cashew and rice farmer from Cambodia. He has three daughters. He enjoys listening to social programs and monks praying on the radio.
One year ago, Hun developed a cataract in his left eye, causing him blurred vision, itchiness, and a clouded lens. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Hun learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for five hours seeking treatment. On March 5, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his left eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, “I hope my vision will be improved so I can support my family by doing some work at the farm. I hope that I can easily go outside by myself again.”
