Chea is a happy 11-year-old girl who lives with her three brothers in Cambodia. She loves school and playing with her friends in her free time.
When Chea was one-year-old, she was burned badly in a cooking fire accident. When skin is burned, the surrounding areas tighten, resulting in a contracture. The contractures around Chea’s hand and elbow are limiting the mobility of her left arm. Luckily, the surgeons at Children’s Surgical Center will be able to replace the thick and contracted skin with a layer of healthy skin using a skin graft.
For $300, we can fund Chea’s surgery, giving her the chance to regain full use of her arm and prevent her from falling behind in school!
