Meet Charity, a 44-year-old farmer from Uganda. Charity and her husband are the parents of six children. Charity works as a small farmer, growing grains, bananas, sweet potatoes, eggplants, and other green vegetables.
During a routine cervical examination, Charity’s gynecologist found lesions and a growth on her cervix. Charity shares that she has been experiencing mild pain but did not think anything was wrong. Her doctor has recommended Charity for a total hysterectomy.
Our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, has arranged for Charity to have her surgery on May 24. They are requesting donations to the amount of $321 to cover the hospital and surgical costs.

Charity underwent a hysterectomy.
Charity’s surgery went well, and she has been discharged to continue recovery at home. Each day she is feeling stronger and already feels less pain. The growth on her cervix was biopsied and will be sent for histology to hopefully rule out cancer. She is very hopeful and glad to be on the mend. Her doctors expect a full recovery.
“Even though I am sore from the operation, I am feeling so much better and hopeful about my future,” says Charity. “This program is a blessing from God to needy people. Thank you to all the donors for helping me.”
