Meet Sagar, a five-year-old boy from Nepal who lives with his parents and siblings. His entire family depends on agriculture and farming to support themselves.
Sagar fractured his left hand when he fell to the ground while playing with his friends. As a result, his hand has become swollen, and he is in pain. He also requires assistance to eat and put on clothes.
Sagar traveled with his father for five hours to reach Bayalpata Hospital, the care center of our medical partner, Possible.
Sagar is scheduled for surgery to fix his hand fracture on February 27. The surgical and post-operative treatment costs will come to a total of $541. Sagar’s father says that he is unable to pay for the surgery without taking out a number of loans. Possible is asking for donations to assist Sagar’s family.
“I hope Sagar’s hand will be normal again,” says his father.
