Phoeung is a rice farmer from Cambodia. She has two daughters and three sons. She spends most of her time doing chores around the house.
In October of last year, she slipped on the stairs at her house and fractured her knee. Thus far, she has only had treatment from a traditional healer near her home. She hasn’t been able to work and she’s often in pain.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On December 15, Phoeung will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $430. This procedure will help her walk easily again.
“I hope my older sister can get better and care for her family,” says her sister.
