Kim is a six-year-old kindergarten student. He is a shy boy, and he loves his family very much. Kim needed treatment for a dislocated left arm.
Three years ago, Kim’s brother accidentally pushed him and he injured his arm. At the time, he underwent a closed reduction surgery and casting, but he could not afford followup check-ups with doctors. Since then, Kim had a hard time using his left arm. He was uncomfortable and experienced occasional pain.
On October 26, 2016, Kim received surgery to repair his arm. This treatment should restore his confidence and comfort. His parents no longer need to worry about him while he is in school.
Kim’s father is a farmer, and his mother is a housewife. They source food from their vegetable garden. His father’s income is just enough to pay for the children’s schooling. He does not have enough to pay for Kim’s $1,500 procedure.
“I was so very happy to know that Kim could undergo the operation to correct his condition,” says Kim’s mother. “It will be a great blessing to us because we cannot really afford the treatment on our own…Thank you so much for having a good heart to help us…We are hoping that this surgery will be successful and Kim can recover fast.”
