Theng is newlywed living in Cambodia who enjoys working as a motorbike repairman. Unfortunately, Theng has not been able to work for several months because the tire of a bike he was fixing earlier this summer exploded and broke the bones in both of his hands.
In addition to not being able to work, Theng has difficulty performing daily tasks and must rely on his new wife and five brothers to help him. Theng is eager to return to work and support his new family, but he cannot afford the surgery he needs to heal his hands.
For $300, Theng will receive surgery to repair the fractures in both of his hands. This operation will restore Theng’s mobility and fine motor function so that he can continue his work as a motorbike repairman and support his new family.
