Horn is a 67-year-old married motor taxi driver. He has one son, three daughters, and many grandchildren. Horn lives with his wife and his daughter who is a garment worker. He is unable to drive his motor bike now because of his vision.
Two years ago, Horn developed a cataract in his left eye, causing him blurred vision, tearing, and itchiness. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Horn learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for two hours with his wife seeking treatment. On February 15th, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his left eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $229 procedure.
Horn shared, “I hope after surgery I can see better so I can get around by myself and join ceremonies at the far pagodas.”
