Deziranta is a 60-year-old loving wife and mother. She and her husband work as farmers for a living, growing crops for home consumption and selling the surplus for income. The couple has four sons and four daughters. One of their sons works as a policeman and two of their daughters also work, while the other children are still in school. In her free time, Deziranta enjoys weaving mats, which she sells for additional income. For about five years, Deziranta has been experiencing uncomfortable symptoms, including a mass in a sensitive area, bleeding, and lower abdominal pain. Unfortunately, she has been misdiagnosed in the past and treated with no improvement in her symptoms. However, on her most recent visit to our medical partner's care center, she was examined and diagnosed with cystocele and partial uterine prolapse. Surgery was recommended to treat her condition. Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is helping Deziranta receive treatment. On September 8th, she will undergo a hysterectomy at AMH's care center. Now, she needs help raising $243 to fund her procedure and care. Deziranta shared, "I hope I will get better after the operation. I hope to continue with farming once I recover and provide for my family."
